Czech Republic - Ebola Suspected Case in Prague

Because of the suspicion of the dangerous Ebola virus, an American was taken to a special isolation ward in a hospital in Prague. His samples are to be examined in a laboratory in Germany.

An American has been isolated near Prague with suspicion of the highly infectious disease. He may have been infected on a trip to Africa. Samples taken were sent to a laboratory in Germany and are now supposed to clarify.

The patient is an American who had previously visited Congo.

According to information from Novinky and the Aktu.cz agency, a patient suspected of having a serious viral disease was transferred from the Tábor hospital to the Bulovka University Hospital in Prague on Friday evening. It could be Ebola or Marburg. The test results should be known on Saturday. The Tábor hospital took special measures in connection with the case on Friday evening.
