INDIANAPOLIS – Thursday marks the third day of Indianapolis 500 practice. Drivers are hoping the weather cooperates. Rain and storms delayed or interrupted practice on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday’s session started late due to a rain delay and ended a half-hour early because of lightning. Rain on Wednesday pushed the start back by more than an hour. Alex Palou dodges rain to set fastest time of Indy 500 practice day two

The morning hours of Wednesday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway brought more heavy rain, which delayed the start of the second day of Indy 500 practice. The delay only lasted one hour, however, and all 34 drivers were able to take to the track for nearly four hours of open practice and was only interrupted by a couple short weather stoppages.
