The 43-year-old grandmother of a six-month-old infant found abandoned near trash bins in the Athens suburb of Alimos has been sentenced to two years in prison for endangering the welfare of a minor.

The grandmother of the infant who was found next to a trash can on Wednesday afternoon in Alimos was sentenced to two years in prison. The court ordered the partial execution of the prison sentence, which it set at three months. The remaining sentence was suspended, while no suspension was granted on appeal.
