The service is launching in more than 1,000 U.S. cities and towns, with plans to expand to at least 2,300 locations by the end of this year.

Amazon Plans to Offer Same-Day Delivery in Over 2,300 Cities

Amazon, in a recent statement, announced that its customers in over 1,000 cities and towns in the US will now be able to get same-day delivery of perishable goods, such as fruits, vegetables, cereals, and other groceries. The US-based e-commerce giant will charge a fee for same-day delivery. However, customers with an Amazon Prime membership will be able to avail of the service free of charge for orders above $25 (approximately Rs. 2,186).
