The four perpetrators damaged their own escape car at the ATM. Therefore, they threatened a teenager who had attended a matura party with a knife and robbed his car.

In Gmunden, wild scenes took place the night from Thursday to Friday. Because the escape car of the perpetrators was damaged during the blast, they robbed the car of students who just had their Matura party nearby.
