A BODY has been recovered from Fleet Bay following a two-day search. Around 4.40 pm on Thursday a body was recovered in the bay near Whithorn. After a major search over recent days, Police Scotland have announced that at around 4.40pm on Thursday, 15 May, a body was recovered in the Fleet Bay area near Whithorn, Dumfries and Galloway. The body has yet to be formally identified but the family of missing man Alistair Turnbull, known as Garry Turnbull, has been informed. There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
