Palestinian President Abbas Calls on Hamas to "Relinquish Control of Gaza and Surrender Weapons"

The Palestinian Authority chairman presented an outline that includes a permanent ceasefire, a complete withdrawal from Gaza, and the transfer of power there to him. The plan also includes "a reorganization of the security mechanisms in Gaza under the supervision of Arab and international entities."

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called on Hamas to relinquish control of the Gaza Strip and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority.

The Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, stressed on Saturday that the Palestinian question was now being exposed to existential risks as a result of what the Israeli entity was doing in the country, while calling for the next phase in the Gaza Strip to be without movement.
