Car prices haven't increased despite tariffs; that's not necessarily a good thing.
By Analysis by Chris Isidore, CNN Tariffs are costing automakers billions but have done little to raise vehicle prices. While that's good for car buyers, it's not necessarily good for the US economy. Costs have skyrocketed for automakers after the Trump administration imposed 25% tariffs on imported cars (nearly half of the US auto market) as well as an additional 25% on imported parts, on which every car built here relies.
