Care homes to hold events for 80th anniversary of VE Day

Wrexham village to host FREE family fun day to mark 80-years of Europe Victory

A VE Day celebration event is being held at the Hafod Colliery in Rhos this weekend to mark the 80th anniversary.

Thousands of members of the public will be able to watch the personnel along the Mall on 5 May.

The events will pay tribute to millions across the UK and the Commonwealth who served in the Second World War, telling the stories of those who fought, the evacuated children and those who stepped into the essential roles on the Home Front.
