Churchill Living invites local veterans and over 60s to VE Day 80th Anniversary event in East Grinstead

Churchill Living is calling for local people, especially armed services veterans and their friends and family, to join in with a special celebration event in the lead-up to the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. The event will take place on Thursday 8th May from 2-4pm at McIndoe Lodge on Garland Road.

On Thursday 8 May 2025, it will be 80 years since the end of War in Europe. To mark this historic anniversary of 80 years of peace, and to commemorate those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to achieve it, Chippenham Town Council will hold a flag raising ceremony at 9am at the Town Hall steps.
