CNTE Withdraws From Reforma After More than Four Hours of Blockade

Protests against the ISSSTE law close a section of the Paseo de la Reforma and cause temporary closures of the metro and metrobus

The blockade is part of the protests carried out by the teachers for the second day in a row

Members of the CNTE carried out road closure of Circuito Interior and Avenida Reforma, at the height of the Estela de Luz, in CDMX.

At least eight trucks from different states, such as Puebla, Zacatecas, Guerrero and Oaxaca, transported students who demonstrated today in the Central Park of Tuxtla Gutiérrez. The protest is peaceful and reflects the union of various rural schools in the country. The authorities recommend avoiding the area due to the high concentration of people and vehicles.
