Petro Requests in China the Admission of Colombia to the BRICS Bank

Bogotá. Colombia’s president, Gustavo Petro, asked for his country’s entry into the BRICS group bank in China on Friday, days after joining China’s Silk Road megaproject.

According to the official statement on the website of the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, the petition, supported by a letter from the Minister of Finance, Germán Ávila Plazas, was delivered to the president of the NBD, Dilma Rousseff.
