PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- We're in the home stretch when it comes to the ongoing demolition of the old span of the McClugage Bridge. The fifth explosion appears to have gone off without a hitch mid-morning Friday. There are to be eight controlled demolitions to bring down the old span of the bridge which has been replaced by a newly completed eastbound span.
