A train engine overheated and caught fire near Fimbrez Estates in west Flagstaff on Thursday morning, according to a post from the Flagstaff Fire Department.

FLAGSTAFF- Flagstaff residents woke up with smoke covering the air after a train locomotive caught fire early this Thursday morning. Flagstaff Fire Department reported that a locomotive overheated and burned near Fimbrez Estates. According to the report, the firefighting system on board the train worked properly and that the fire was controlled when firemen arrived.
