Dominican Republic: approximately 4,000 new HIV cases reported

In the Dominican Republic, about 4,000 new HIV cases are reported each year, according to the Centre d'orientation et de recherche globale (COIN). In 2023, the country registered 3,900 infections, out of an estimated total of 84,000 people living with the virus.
