Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo: prudent reactions in Kinshasa on the possible appointment of the President of Togo as mediator

The Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé was approached to resume mediation between the DRC and Rwanda. A decision announced on 5 April 2025 by João Lourenço, Angolan President and current President of the African Union (AU), at a virtual meeting of the organisation's office.
