The Euskal Herria Network of Tortured Persons has called on the Basque Government to open Law 12/2016 on the recognition and reparation of victims of human rights violations in the context of politically motivated violence in the Basque Autonomous Community between 1978 and 1999, extending its temporal scope, so that tortured persons can process their requests for official recognition.
