Exclusive: the new trains for line B will be Chinese

Subterráneos de Buenos Aires (SBASE) pre-selected the Chinese state companies CRRC and CITIC to advance the tender for the fleet renewal of line B of the Subte. The third company that had presented itself, the Indian BEML, was disqualified for non-compliances. Offerors will have to finance at least 80% of the amount of the operation: CITIC, although it is not manufacturer and would derive the construction of the trains to CRRC, is firm candidate.
