#FinancialFridays: Winter Disconnection Ban Ends April 30th 2025
The Winter Disconnection Ban is coming to an end for the Winter 2024-2025 period. Every year, during the winter months, hydro and gas utilities cannot be disconnected from homes. The Winter Disconnection Ban starts on November 15th, 2024, and ends on April 30th, 2025. Homes with suite meters can be disconnected. If you receive a Disconnection Notice, you can apply to the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) to help cover up to $650 each …
