Riverhead Fire District voters approved both propositions on the ballot in Tuesday’s special election. The propositions, authorizing the issuance of $4.5 million in bonds to fund the purchase of a new ladder truck, costing $3 million, and new communications equipment, costing $1.5 million, were approved by wide margins in a special election that was decided by 149 district voters.
