Fraser-Pryce, 38, was competing on the Diamond League circuit for the first time for three years but could only finish fourth in the women’s 100m as 20-year-old Clayton won easily in a world-leading 10.92sec.

On Friday in Doha, German Julian Weber won a superb javelin competition with a jet at 91.06 m. The 200m Letsile Tebogo Olympic champion won quite quietly in 20''10, while Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce only took 4th place in a 100m win by his Jamaican compatriot Tia Clayton in 10'92.
