Giant dragon dragged through the streets for Harry Potter surprise
- A 25-foot-long animatronic Hungarian Horntail dragon paraded through central London on 12 May 2025, stunning onlookers.
- A giant animatronic dragon reenacted a memorable scene involving the Hungarian Horntail to celebrate the launch of the Triwizard Tournament – Making of Champions attraction.
- Created by filmmaker Joe Scott, the dragon includes articulated movements in its head, mouth, and eyes, accompanied by sound effects, and showcases 119 spikes along with 38 resin teeth, all completed in over 750 hours of work.
- The exhibit celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Goblet of Fire film will be open from 15 May to 8 September 2025 at The Making of Harry Potter experience in London.
- Warner Bros. Staff highlighted the complex teamwork behind the dragon's creation, saying it inspires visitors with filmmaking craftsmanship and secrets.

A total of 119 spikes were individually applied to decorate the dragon's head and tail, which took 265 hours, whilst 38 razor-sharp teeth were 3D printed in resin to create bite in the creature's animatronic mouth
