Google Maps Hit Car in Acapulco for Believing It Attracts Hurricanes

Neighbors of the La Sabana colony, in Acapulco, Guerrero, stoned a Google Maps vehicle to believe that its antenna was responsible for attracting hurricanes. The driver, surprised while doing street mapping, lost control of the car due to the attack and ended up trapped in a river. The unusual fact went viral because of the absurdity of the confusion.
