Hazmat Response Triggered After Person Gets Maced

(Reno, NV) — The Reno Police Department is investigating a hazmat situation at an apartment in the northeast corner of the city. Police say a person was maced during an argument Thursday night. Some of the pepper spray escaped the building, prompting a shelter-in-place order. Some people in the area had to be treated after they had trouble breathing and were coughing due to the odor. No one was seriously injured or taken to the hospital.
