PAT Duffy was constantly on the move during the Second World War, living in London, Essex and South Wales before settling in the Oxford area.

As part of the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the Armistice of the Second World War, a ceremony was held in Brignoles, in the hamlet of the Censiés, on Wednesday evening. The commune wished to honour the memory of Angel de Nale, a young Brignoese soldier who died in battle at only 21 years of age.
