After Being Denied Entry to Israel by Land, the Korean Citizen Tried His Luck Swimming

The swimmer was arrested by the maritime security forces and handed over to the Director of Enforcement and Foreigners at the Population and Immigration Authority. Initial examination revealed that he was a foreigner from Korea, who had attempted to enter Israel in April 2025 and was denied entry. He was given a hearing in the past 24 hours, and was ultimately issued a deportation order from Israel.

A Korean resident who tried to enter Israel about a month ago and was refused entry, landed in Sinai this week and attempted to swim through the Taba crossing towards Eilat. He was arrested by the maritime security forces and transferred to the Enforcement and Foreigners Administration at the Population and Immigration Authority.
