Chiapas faces an intense heat wave, with temperatures above 40 °C in different regions. This phenomenon is due to a system of high pressure in medium levels of the atmosphere, which prevents the formation of clouds, reduces humidity and favors clear skies, intensifying solar radiation and raising temperatures both daytime and night.
