A group of hedge funds that sued the London Metal Exchange over the 2022 nickel crisis have dropped their legal action after similar arguments made in separate proceedings were rejected by UK courts.

Icahn’s Investment Funds Continue Losing Streak

Carl Icahn’s internal hedge fund picked up in the first quarter where it left off at the end of 2024.That’s not good. The octogenarian’s Investment Funds lost 8.4 percent in the March three-month period, much worse than the broad market, which dropped 4.3 percent, according to Icahn Enterprises’ first-quarter report. This comes on the heels of the Funds’ 3.5 percent decline in 2024, the sixth straight annual loss.
