Bayrou turned his hearing into an aggressive defence operation, denying any responsibility in the Betharram case. Faced with a commission of inquiry which he accuses of bias and wants to fall, he multiplied the attacks.

As a guardian of the Belarusian centrism, the Prime Minister defended himself on foot before the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the Betharram affair, denouncing the opposition's desire to "put down the government" by instrumentalizing this scandal. After more than five hours of hearing, a certainty: if we look for clear answers or a hint of remorse, we must go back.

Published this Wednesday, May 14, by the parliamentary commission of inquiry into violence in schools, Prime Minister François Bayrou vehemently rejected the accusations of lying or intervening in the justice system in the case of physical and sexual violence at the Collège-lycée Notre-Dame de Bétharram.

The Prime Minister explained himself for more than five hours. Offensive, he landed as a victim of political instrumentalisation and tried to decredivise two crucial witnesses.
