‘Hooked’ loon on Lake Monona rescued after eluding capture for two days

News of a ‘hooked’ loon on Lake Monona went viral on social media. The loon eluded capture for two days until Andy Swetz, a Madison resident, got in the lake and caught it with his bare hands. X-rays have since determined the loon had also been shot.
