Argentine Buyers Boosted the Retail Trade of Regions During March - La Tercera

According to the index of face-to-face sales of retail trade in regions produced by the National Chamber of Commerce (CNC), there were positive results in two of the three regions studied: Valparaíso and La Araucanía.

In March, face-to-face sales of retail trade in the Valparaíso region registered growth of 4.2%, but show signs of deceleration.

In this regard, CNC Studies Manager Bernardita Silva noted that “the best results in Valparaíso and La Araucanía are related, in part, to the greater flow of Argentines receiving both regions and to the so-called “purchasing tourism” that has been driving the face-to-face sector. However, in the third month of the year there is a slowdown in the growth recorded in both regions.”
