Major Drug Seizure in the Ballarò Market in Palermo, One Arrest

Police officers arrested a 53-year-old man from Palermo in a warehouse located in the area of the historic Ballarò market where they found 13 kilos of hashish and 5 kilos of pure cocaine still to be cut.

The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Palermo, during targeted territorial control services, conducted in the various neighborhoods of the city and in the province, with the aim of systematically and continuously combating the possession and dealing of narcotic substances, arrested 11 people including a minor, a woman and a Gambian, all known to the police force and accused of dealing in narcotic substances.
