Congress rejected the disqualification of Martín Vizcarra due to the closure of Congress

Congress is voting today to disqualify former presidents Martín Vizcarra and Francisco Sagasti for 10 years. The former for shutting down Congress, the latter for removing police officers.

The number of congressmen needed to disqualify ex-mandatario Martín Vizcarra was 66; however, only 61 voted in favour of this sanction.
