Meeting in Istanbul - Ambassador Makeiev: "Russia Wants to Destroy Us and Despise the Whole World"

After the talks between Kiev and Moscow's delegations in Istanbul, Oleksii Makeiev, Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, says: "What Russia says often turns out to be a lie." Ukraine is dependent on the "United States sitting at the table," says Makeiev at WORLD TV.

The Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, Makeiev, accused Russia of having no interest in an end to the war in Ukraine before the start of the negotiations in Istanbul. Makeiev said on Deutschlandfunk that Russia only simulates diplomacy and does not want to negotiate in truth.
