Montgomery firefighters have battled a house fire. Montgomery Fire/Rescue Assistant Chief Stanley Cooper said the fire was reported at about 6:30AM today at a home in the 100 block of Canna Drive, which is just off of the far south end of E.D. Nixon Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the single-story home. The fire has been put out. No one was hurt. An investigation into what started the fire is now underway. …
