More effective medical imaging, treatment for prostate cancer coming to Kelowna

BC Cancer is introducing a new prostate-specific imaging technology to Kelowna in May 2025 to improve medical imaging and treatment for prostate cancer.

Health Minister Josie Osborne emphasized that expanding advanced diagnostic and treatment services across more regions of British Columbia will improve access to lifesaving care, supporting individuals in managing and overcoming prostate cancer. In 2025, the province anticipates approximately 4,165 new prostate cancer cases.
