New report details impact of 6-week abortion ban in South Carolina

When Republican lawmakers at the South Carolina State House broke through months of disagreements and debates to enact a law that bans most abortions after about six weeks into a pregnancy in 2023, they said their goal was not just to reduce South Carolinians’ access to the procedure but to also cut the number of out-of-state residents seeking abortions in the Palmetto State.
