Nintendo Switch 2 leaks just confirmed more specs — and finally reveal what happened to Switch Pro

  • Nintendo has officially announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5, 2025, featuring a 7.9-inch 1080p LCD display with touch functionality, HDR10 support, and variable refresh rates up to 120Hz.
  • The Switch 2 development followed from the Switch Pro concept, delayed due to the original Switch’s sustained sales boosted by the pandemic and hardware challenges.
  • The system features a custom Nvidia T239 processor that includes eight ARM A78 CPU cores and a GPU based on the RTX 30-series Ampere architecture with 1,536 CUDA cores. It comes equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, divided into two 6GB modules.
  • The Switch 2 reaches up to 1.71 teraflops handheld and 3.072 teraflops docked performance, with bandwidth up to 102GB/s docked and 68GB/s handheld, and includes 256GB storage expandable up to 2TB.
  • Nintendo expects the console to balance power and efficiency for handheld gaming and rely on developer support for software success, but true impact will emerge post-launch.
