Vauxhall GSE: Sporty electric models are back on the menu

Vauxhall will relaunch its GSE sub-brand in 2025 with the fully electric Mokka GSE as the first model to debut under this name.
This relaunch follows Vauxhall's decision to abandon plug-in hybrid powertrains in favor of a fully electric performance lineup for the GSE sub-brand.
The Mokka GSE will feature sportier styling, an upgraded chassis aimed at integrating the driver, a front-mounted electric motor, and deliver up to 278 horsepower.
CEO Florian Huettl described the GSE sub-brand as embodying dynamic, thrilling, and emotionally engaging Vauxhall vehicles, and noted that 2025 will mark a significant milestone for the brand.
This shift aligns with Vauxhall’s broader strategy to phase out combustion engines by 2028 and position GSE as the flagship of its electric vehicle portfolio.
