CHICAGO — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a semi-truck on Chicago’s Southwest Side. Officers with the Chicago Police Department responded to the 2100 block of S. Ashland Avenue just after 12 p.m. on reports of a pedestrian struck. Police say a 44-year-old man was walking in the crosswalk when he was struck by a semi-truck that was driving southbound.
