Pine Island's Luke Sems to continue baseball career at prestigious military academy

PINE ISLAND, Minn. — Lucas Sems spent last summer playing for the East Cobb Patriots travel team out of Atlanta, Ga. During the season, the team visited the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. It was then that the USMMA coaches were first introduced to the Pine Island senior third baseman/pitcher when he scrimmaged on their field with the Patriots.
