Lehigh County couple to face trial for allegedly starving teen twins, conspiracy to murder

Some charges have been withdrawn against a Lehigh County couple accused of starving twin teen boys in their care and forcing them outside in frigid temperatures naked, but the most serious charges are headed to trial.In total, Joshua D. Dechant, 36, and his wife, Tracy A. Dechant, 42, of the 1200 block of Divot Drive in Lower Macungie Township, are each facing more than a dozen charges, including 10 felonies.

A preliminary hearing for Joshua and Tracy Dechant, accused of abusing and neglecting two teenagers is set for Wednesday.

Hearing set for child abuse case

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a McLoud woman facing two counts of enabling child abuse and one for child neglect and her motion to modify her bond has been taken under advisement. She and a man from Harrah face multiple sex crimes and the man’s attempt to have his bond reduced earlier was denied.
