Fire crews in the Mat-Su Valley completed three prescribed burns this week near Sitze Road, Maud Road, and the Kenny and Patti Barber Shooting Range to reduce wildfire risk.

Controlled Burns at Sitze Road and Maud Road Shooting Range Enhance Wildfire Preparedness

The Mat-Su Area Forestry & Fire Protection  in Palmer capitalized on favorable conditions this week to conduct two proactive prescribed burns.
