A sure sign the offseason is near: the 2025 PWHL Draft eligibility list dropped today. Players had until May 8 to declare for the draft and the list from the league has 198 players. There are 116 forwards, 56 defenders, and 26 goaltenders with 15 different countries represented. The players played in 18 different leagues last year. Almost 200 players seek to get their name called and join the top pro league in women’s hockey. On Thursday, the Professional Women’s Hockey League released the names of the 198 athletes who have formally declared for the 2025 PWHL Draft. 142 of which played collegiately last season, including 113 from NCAA Division I.
