KYIV, Ukraine (AP) -- Waves of drones and missiles targeted Kyiv overnight in the largest aerial assault since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began more than three years ago, officials said Friday, amid a renewed Russian push to capture more of its neighbour's land.
Kyiv Hit By 'Largest' Russian Drone Attack, Dozens Injured
Kyiv was reeling on July 4 from a massive overnight Russian strike, the largest of the war so far according to the Ukrainian authorities. More than 20 people were injured but there were no immediate reports of fatalities. Homes, ambulances, and a medical center were hit.
Ukraine’s air defence downs 478 aerial assets out of 550 launched by Russia
Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 550 drones and missiles since 18:00 on 3 July. Ukrainian air defence units have successfully downed 478 aerial assets, but eight hits have been recorded and debris has fallen in 33 locations.
