Original Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Gets Surprise Master Crafted Edition on PC and Xbox Game Pass — but There’s No PS5 Version

On May 22, 2025, Sega revealed that a remastered version of Space Marine, titled the Master Crafted Edition, will be released on June 10 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, with no version planned for PlayStation 5.
The remaster by SneakyBox updates the 2011 original by Relic Entertainment after Sega acquired rights, aiming to preserve its spirit while modernizing gameplay.
The Master Crafted Edition improves visuals with 4K resolution, over 100 new Ork voice lines, revamped UI, enhanced controls, and a graphics engine overhaul.
Producer Vaidas Mikelskas called it a "thoughtful restoration" that balances original appeal with modern players' expectations and technical enhancements including a 64-bit upgrade.
This release highlights Sega's continued investment in the Space Marine franchise, following the 2024 sequel's success and further extending Warhammer 40,000 content on Game Pass.
