Russian General Sergey Surovikin, the ex-commander of Russia's invasion forces in Ukraine who disappeared from the public eye in 2023, is now working in Algeria, according to pro-war Telegram channels.

Russian General Sergei Surovikin, who disappeared from public view almost a year ago, was seen among a Russian delegation in Africa honoring Algerians who died during World War II.

The former commander of the United Group of Russian troops in the war against Ukraine, General Sergei Surovikin, was sent to work in Algeria. It disappeared from the public domain after the rebellion of Yevgeny Prigozhin in the summer of 2023.
