A change in the way property taxes are taxed, as proposed in a new study by the research organization PAQ Research, would bring up to 15 billion crowns to the state budget. It would particularly affect owners of a larger number of properties and houses located in more lucrative locations. The idea is liked by some politicians from the KDU-ČSL, but it has opponents mainly in the opposition. However, the opinions of experts are also divided.
