SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH- The Salt Lake City Police Department (SLCPD) announced that the Utah Gang Investigators Association (UGIA) has awarded the SLCPD Gang Unit the 2025 Gang Unit Award, in recognition of its outstanding performance and impact during 2024. This award reflects the collective effort of the team of six investigators and a sergeant, recognized by their state-wide colleagues as leading experts in gang crime.
