- Maehara reported hearing a racial slur before being hit by a driver who then fled the scene; he sustained a concussion, a fractured cheekbone, neck injuries, and extensive bruising and swelling. A fundraiser has since collected nearly $77,000 to support him.
- The report highlights far-right disinformation efforts, threats to election workers, and the rise of Christian supremacist movements toward authoritarianism amid ongoing hate group activity.
